Este documento describe cómo puede configurar un sistema Linux para IPv6, enfocado en Debian Etch, "pero válido para cualquier distribución" a fin de que a) pueda conectarse a otros hosts IPv6 y b) otros hosts IPv6 puedan conectarse con usted. IPv6 debería ser más importante protocolo en el futuro como asumen estimaciones recientes, ya que no habrá más direcciones IPv4en 2010 o 2011. Por lo tanto es el momento para aprender IPv6.
This document describes how you can configure a Debian Etch system for IPv6 so that a) it can connect to other IPv6 hosts and b) other IPv6 hosts can connect to it. IPv6 should become more important in the future as recent estimates assume that there will be no more IPv4 addresses left by 2010 or 2011. Therefore it's time time to learn IPv6.
